Case-mate

At Case-mate, I held the role of Videographer and Video Editor. I worked together with a Creative Team of photographers, animators, and designers to create fun and successful campaigns to drive sales for Case-mate, LuMee, and Eco94 brands. I contributed to the campaigns by creating and delivering fun videos for Instagram, YouTube, and Amazon. I worked on all of the video projects from creative brainstorming to final delivery.

During my time at Case-mate, I have helped develop the new branding of the company by giving Case-mate's videos a new look and style. I wanted to show how colorful, fashionable, yet high quality that the cases can be. I had fun using techniques such as giving digital manicures when models don't have their nails done or really bringing certain cases' colors to life. In doing so, Case-mate's video content has grown in views and likes by 75%.

I was also given the opportunity to step up my flat lay and product promotional video skills by experimenting with the different products and how to show them in a way that draws the customers eyes in while also being informative. I love playing with colors and shapes and that really showed when working with product shots at Case-mate.

If somebody told me that 5 years ago, I'd be working on a video project with a brand like Reebok--I wouldn't believe them. Case-mate gave me the amazing opportunity to capture the hip, cool style of Reebok and show the versatile looks of Case-mate. When shooting this video, I wanted to make sure that it was nothing like what Case-mate had before and to really broaden my capabilities of shooting different styles.

Carson & Quinn, a brand that is moreso similar to Case-mate itself, is AT&T's latest phone case line. Their style is something that you'd find at TJMAXX, something with punny quotes, and something cute. I wanted to make sure that the lifestyle promotional really showed that fun look!

Being from the South, I grew up eating Waffle House or WaHo all of the time so I could not believe it when Case-mate told me that we would be collaborating with their company. This was, by far, one of the more challenging videos that I had to do because of the stark difference in style between the two brands, but I was able to produce something that balanced the history and culture of WaHo and the style of Case-mate.

Kodak, a brand that every hipster millenial sees in Urban Outfitters on a t-shirt, was one of the first collaborations that Case-mate had. That was my first challenge and maintaining the Case-mate level of fashion but also twisting it to look more "cool" and "hip." I really loved the Kodak yellow color palette used!

Prabal Gurung, a fashion designer who has had his works featured in New York Fashion week, decided to collaborate with Case-mate to create cases inspired by his Fall 2019 looks. This project was definitely a good challenge to dip my toe in the water of "high fashion" and to differentiate the style of that with Case-mate's.

Recently acquired by Case-mate, LuMee is a unique brand that has phone cases with built-in dimmable back lights and most importantly, selfie lights. Their brand promotes being extremely fashioanble, having fun, being unapologetic, and of course, taking that bomb selfie. One of the biggest challenges working with LuMee is figuring out the right lighting to work with the LED lights on the phones. After a couple attempts and tests, I was able to develop a style and look for LuMee that really emphasized that fashionable look and the power of the lights.

Case-mate partnered with The Nature Conservancy to give customers cases backed by a mission to make our World a cleaner, greener place. This brand was really cool to work on because of its benefit to the Earth and nature itself. I was taken out of my Element of the usual fashion forward cases and thrown into the waters of the relaxing eco-friendly style of Eco94.
